Our Services
Navigating the journey towards psychological, behavioral, and relational wellness can be a confusing experience for many of us. Without manuals providing guidance, understanding our identity, purpose, and aspirations can feel like an uncertain path. This process of growth is deeply personal and requires us to embrace uncertainty to discover meaningful insights. Many of my patients, who are parents and caregivers, are on a similar quest to support the children in their lives. They aspire to provide every opportunity for their child to flourish and become the best version of themselves.
Forensic Consultation
Forensic consultation services provided by behavioral health professionals involve applying their expertise to legal or forensic matters. This can include offering assessments, evaluations, expert testimony, and consultation in legal cases where mental health issues are relevant. Behavioral health providers may be consulted in various legal contexts, such as criminal proceedings, civil litigation, child custody disputes, and personal injury claims. Their role may involve conducting psychological assessments, providing diagnostic clarification, offering treatment recommendations, and assisting attorneys and courts in understanding the psychological factors involved in a case. Forensic consultation services aim to ensure that legal decisions are informed by accurate and relevant mental health expertise, promoting fairness and justice within the legal system.
Supervision and Coaching
Clinical supervision for behavioral health involves an experienced supervisor guiding and supporting mental health professionals to ensure high-quality, ethical client care. It includes case review, skill development, and addressing challenges, fostering professional growth and effective practice.
Individual
Individual therapy, also known as psychotherapy or counseling, is a therapeutic process where a client works one-on-one with a trained therapist. The focus of individual therapy is on addressing personal issues, improving emotional well-being, and achieving specific therapeutic goals. During individual therapy sessions, clients have the opportunity to explore their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and experiences in a safe and confidential environment. The therapist provides support, guidance, and feedback to help the client gain insight into their challenges, develop coping strategies, and make positive changes in their lives. Individual therapy can be beneficial for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, grief, self-esteem, and personal growth.
Families
Family therapy is a type of psychotherapy that involves the participation of multiple family members in treatment sessions. The goal of family therapy is to address issues within the family system, improve communication and interaction patterns, and foster healthier relationships among family members. Therapists who specialize in family therapy work with families to identify and explore underlying dynamics, conflicts, and patterns of behavior that contribute to distress or dysfunction. Family therapy can be effective for a wide range of concerns, including relationship conflicts, parenting issues, substance abuse, mental health disorders, grief and loss, and transitions such as divorce or blending families.
Couples
Couples therapy, also known as marriage counseling or couples counseling, is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on improving the relationship between romantic partners. In couples therapy, both partners participate in therapy sessions together with a trained therapist. The goal of couples therapy is to address relationship issues, improve communication and conflict resolution skills, and strengthen the emotional connection between partners.
During couples therapy sessions, the therapist facilitates open and constructive dialogue between partners, helps them identify and understand the underlying dynamics contributing to relationship difficulties, and assists them in developing strategies to address challenges and achieve mutual goals. Couples therapy can address a wide range of concerns, including communication problems, conflicts over finances or parenting, infidelity, intimacy issues, and adjusting to major life transitions. The ultimate aim of couples therapy is to promote healthier and more satisfying relationships.
